Dark Dwellings is a short film that takes us on a journey through a child's perspective on loss as she comes to terms the disappearance of a parental figure along with magic they embodied.
The film will act as a stand alone film for festival submissions as well as a proof-of-concept for a feature pitch to be delivered to potential investors by the end of the year.
An amazing team, lead by Manpreet Babra, will bring to life a world stemming from the imagination of a dreamer through the use of 3D & Classical Animators, as well as the talent of VFS and its extended network.
The story follows a young girl named Nora who is afraid of the dark and comforted by her grandfather's bedtime stories about the creatures that wake at night. When Nora’s grandfather passes away she is left to deal with her grief and the dark on her own. Nora soon starts to notice glimmering lights in the shadows and the disappearance of things during the night leading to an unbelievable discovery.
